Megan Roland has been dancing and teaching in the Philadelphia and Lancaster areas forover 30 years.
She danced in the Philadelphia area performing locally and in regional andnational competitions under Joanna Gargano. Her teaching career began in the Philly areaas assistant director of Joanna's Studio of Dance.
She studied with masters, Norma Frumento of Philadanco, Philip Carmen and Marion Toner of the Ballet Center and NewYork masters Frank Hatchett and Joe Lanteri.
She relocated to Lancaster and taught at Lancaster School of Ballet and Premiere Danse Academy. She has been a guest teacherthroughout the area including at the New Movement Center and Servant Stage.
Her choreography has been featured throughout the county. Megan was an original member of Grant Street Dance Company.
She teaches Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Modern, specializing in Horton technique. Megan is also a Pediatric Physical Therapist at The Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development.
Because of her specialization in anatomy and kinesiology, Megan brings a unique perspective to her teaching.
She encourages propertechnique blending it with the individual's body alignment to prevent injury. She focuses herclasses on education and fun
